The classical Lex is a cold sociopath who happens to have a really good point about the danger of Superman, not a giggling lunatic giggling about killing people's Mum.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04254271380994537764noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-381367761582904939.post-16487904680132323622016-04-06T20:34:34.344+12:002016-04-06T20:34:34.344+12:00I recently watched Man of Steel, and really wished...I recently watched Man of Steel, and really wished I hadn't.

In saying that, I'm right up there with you on Henry Cavill being a beautiful Superman. Very beautiful. He wears the cape well, without arrogance.

In all honesty I struggle with the concept of Batman vs Superman, the need to pitch two 'good guys' against each other.

Perhaps If I read right back into the histories of each character, I may find a rational reason for this...maybe.

Besides, I've always been a Batman girl.

pixiefeethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06674145344730543886noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-381367761582904939.post-9584883518237567672016-04-06T19:18:56.733+12:002016-04-06T19:18:56.733+12:00I liked Eisenberg as Lex Luthor. Only at the end did the part descend into madness, and I doubt that was his choice.

What I disliked the most were:
- Superman's total unnecessary decision to fight Batman instead of continuing to reason with him.

- Batman's paranoia about Superman seemed unfounded (as you said, he's a genius).

- The horrible Batman fight scene in the desert, where the uber competent commandos were suddenly school kids who couldn't use guns.

- Superman as Jesus (his monument is all around you).

- Music to advise you how to feel.

- EPIC!!!!!!

It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't good. The women certainly stole the show.

I did enjoy the depiction of the big three in combat. Superman was aloof, Batman was determined, and Wonder Woman was joyous.Phil B-Whttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12089522642060777633noreply@blogger.com
